let's add a roof and insulation! - How to build a Teardrop Trailer #12

Hey folks, in this video we are going to add insulation and the roof cover. This going in place before we add aluminum to the roof and sides. It didn't go without a hitch but I am happy to see how it turned out. A little trick I did to fix the the issue with the insulation not being held down using by the gorilla tape was to use little pieces of wire to hold it tight inside of some holes. You can see it in action here.

 

Total time: 4-8hrs

 

Tools used

  • brad nailer
  • caulk gun
  • utility knife
  • tape measure
  • straight edge of some kind
  • table saw for long straight cuts

Materials used

  • Purebond plywood
  • Construction adhesive
  • 1" Pocket hole screws
  • 3/4" screws to hold down the wood (optional)
